Last Paddle In The UK Before Worlds!

On Wednesday night I headed over to lee valley for a paddle and to test the new 2016 Rockstar for Kent Canoes! The full review will be out after I've paddled it on garb. It was good to be on the water and on a wave, even though it was small and not really a proper wave.

Cartwheels

The new boat was good at rotating quickly around its nose on blunts which made it easy to land in a strong recovery position! I was able to practise my blunts a lot on the wave once I'd got to the top of the pile. I feel like I need to work on switching my edges more aggressively to get a sharper angle through the air. But they are coming along despite not doing them in a few months! I also tried a K-Y which went very well and I felt like I had to proper pistol flip technique in place at the right time!

Big loop on the flat

I moved down to Revolver to practise some hole moves in the new boat. In one of my first rides I was able to get a space to loop both with air! linking was really easy in this boat, I was hitting loop to lunar a few times as well as loop to space! Cartwheels are also coming along nicely for me, I was able to get about 6 ends at most consecutively, which is a huge mile stone for my progression!

Going for the blunt

It was nice to be out on the water having fun in a new boat, although it was a tiny bit big for me! got me super fired up to get to Canada now, can't wait to get there!!!
